Shelley Savini-Kroger graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington. She has been exhibiting her work since 1993. With several one-woman shows around Indianapolis as well as group shows including the Art Center Faculty Show and Oranje her personal work has evolved from acrylic paintings to mixed media collage. Her patrons are from Indianapolis, Arizona, Wales, UK and Illinois. She has a small painting business that designs and produces faux finishes and murals. Recently she re-entered the Graduate Programs at Herron School of Art and created custom art work for Executive Homes and MB Designs.( Zionsville Show Homes, Estates)
She teaches at a private elementary school, Herron School of Art, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Art Center, The Stutz as well as private lessons, all part time of course. Nurturing others' art seems to be part of her nature. "Being with individuals while they learn about and create their own art helps develop my work and processes. The way my paintings and collages communicate to others is better understood by listening and being present for my students and clients."
Shelley's collages are developed aesthetically in her studio over a period of time. The commissioned work is planned with others, sketched out and produced on site to meet time requirements.
